News for the new owners of Aer Lingus ( it should never have been sold off).
Dublin is not a region of the UK.
I was on a flight from UK to Dublin.
My carry on case ( deemed ok for Ryanair carry on and Aer Lingus to London carry on) was deemed at the gate too large ( as it was a regional flight!!!) and I would have to give it to staff to be put in the hold.
Other passengers with similar sized bags were allowed through with them.
I had no problem bringing the same case on board on the outward journey.
A regular flyer on the same route said she had seen it happen before.
Ireland has been an independent country for almost a century. Could somebody tell Willie Walsh (CEO) and British Airways ( who now own Aer Lingus).
