travelodge near to heathrow

Can anyone who has stayed at the Heathrow central tell me if it is actually close to Heathrow! Reading reviews that it's not.
Ideally I would like to take a cheap ( no more than 15 pounds) can from there to terminal three.
Any advice? Thanks

There are closer hotels. Its just under 2 miles from Heathrow airport and about a mile from Hounslow West tube station.

Why not consider Travelodge Windsor, much more civilised? Local taxi company Windsor Cars charge a flat rate of £16 from Windsor to LHR (any terminal), LHR to Windsor is £20 or £21 (as they have to use short stay car park for pick up).

.......or Travelodge LHR T5? You just use the Underground, free within LHR Terminals.

Thank you , I booked the Heathrow central one yesterday as I didn't have much response hereConfused hope it won't be too expensive for a taxi
