How cold will it be this time of year? It says on the website to wear warm clothes - is much of it outside then?? Help please, we want to go tomorrow!

Very, as cold as outside (or near enough)

Wear warm clothes and an outside coat and you will be fine.

Excellent fun, have been several times and the kids (mine and in school) love it!

It isn't outside, but it is in a 3 mile long building and it isn't really heated, There are enclosed spaces indide the building, and they are a bit warmer, but while walking from pavilion to pavilion it is bloody cold!

thanks MB, looking forward to it!

Yes, it is FANTASTIC! My boys have been to loads of museum/sciency places in the UK, and Magna is no1 on their list of places they want to re-visit.

If they are small then take a change of clothes, as the water area can be wet.

Take loads of energy and allow a full day.

There's two brilliant playgrounds - don't know if they're both open atm: they are obviously outside, therefore cold; and also wet - even if it's not raining!

had an excellent day, even though the eldest boy (OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER) got absolutely drenched in the water zone. Luckily we left that bit til last. . . Guess who ended up wearing mum's sweater on the way home

NB for anyne else who might be going for the first time - ds 2 (aged6) is a sensitive soul and was petrified by the 'meltdown' display (which is flames, loud noises, strobe lighting etc in a very dark, spooky old steelworks bit) it's on the hour every hour, and we had to run him through that bit with his head under my jumper LOL!

oh, I suspect we'll go back another time SMM, if that's an invite....
It's almost worth the hour and a half drive for the playpark alone.

(oh sorry, it's me, changed back from secretlywishicouldknit))
