Car seats on board

Hi,

I'm flying long-haul on the weekend (11 hour flight) and would like to book a seat for my 13 month old and take his car seat as I'm flying alone.

Has anyone used a maxi cosi priori xp on BA, do anyone know if it is allowed? I've tried getting info from the FAA, but was not very successful. I just dread an 11hour flight without being able to eat, use the loo or get up at all with a baby on my lap. He is quite big and weighs 26 pounds!

Have you actually spoken to BA ? It may already be too late to book him a seat or reserve one of their car seat style infant seats if available on that flight. Policy varies from one airline to another but usually the seat must be restrained by a lap belt to be suitable and fit the wdith of the airlien seat. If they agree get it in writing so you don't have to argue at check-in /gate.

Hi,

You need to speak with BA asap.

Your 13 month old would not be necessarily given a seat of his own unless you paid for one (full child fare price) at the time of booking.
