Mexico at Easter, 3 & 4 year old, recommendations please

We are considering going to Mexico during the Easter Holidays, probably for 10 days if we can book 10 days. Any recommendations on anything, what to do? hotels? areas to stay in? etc etc. Thanks

Not sure about hotels etc as the one I didn't have any children when we went so didn't really take much notice of children's facilities - but what I would say is that we went the week after Easter (when the kids were back in school) and the travel rep was telling us about how busy the hotel had been (with Americans - mainly young, student ones on Spring break) and that there had been no sunbeds available, the restaurants were fully booked every night etc and the English people were really brassed off with it - when we went, it was much quieter.

Not trying to put you off but just thought I would share my experience.

we went to mexico two years ago at easter with our children (then aged 3 & 9).

what to do depends on where abouts you are going - but our favourite bit was swimming with dolphins. for little ones of 3 & 4 there was something called the 'dolpin experience' where children go in the water with their parents and get to touch a dolphin etc.

when we went it was quite busy, mainly with young americans - but nothing like as busy as spain or italy get in the summer holidays! also, with so many adults the children enjoyed a lot of attention/admiration!

Must say the Iberostar Paraisa del Mar was fantastic. Lovely complex and lovely beach and near all the attractions like an an environmental park, dolphins, Mayan ruins, Cozumel for a day trip etc.
