What should I do??

I'm booked to fly to Dublin on Christmas Eve, and I'm seeing all of these fligts getting cancelled left right and centre because of the fog and I'm getting worried now.
I've checked ryanair's site and they're saying anyone booked to fly between 22nd and 24th can call and rebook the flight earlier, but the weather reports say fog every day anyway.
Sooo do I rebook the flight for possibly even later today, scramble around like a mad woman trying to get everything packed and sorted to possibly spend the next few days stuck in a bloody airport with DD anyway?? Or do I risk trying to fly Christmas Eve?
I just don't know what to do now!

What airport?

If you really want to go, try and go as soon as you can... you might not get a chance on 24th

Thanks Quootie, I'm flying from Liverpool which has had lots of cancelled flights but today seems to be ok

I think I might try and fly today, would be a disaster if we didn't make it, we're going to spend Christmas with dd's dad and she'd be devastated if we didn't get there

yep, do try. Best bet really xxx

I thought flights were being cancelled today because of fog - so I would have thought there is less chance of getting away today than later in the week....hopefully the weather will change again before Christmas Eve, the weather reports don't often get it right I find...

They are at Heathrow and Gatwick and other airports KT but Liverpool airport has said that today flights are ok, I don't know if or how long it will last but the fog here is miles better today than the last few days.
I'm going to give them a call anyway, I'm sure they can tell me if they think it is worth trying to do this.
Thanks for the replies, I was getting myself into a tizzy about it earlier! lol
I'm going to go and start packing, fast

Its a nightmare isn't it, my poor aunt, uncle and cousing are here from Ireland for a funeral, they are so worried that they won't get back home and are leaving early as soon as funeral is over to try to get home. Its awful having this worry on top of going to a funeral. Airy home you get back ok
