We are going in a few weeks. Does anyone have tips? To be honest we've heard it's all just taking in the lovely town and eating and drinking which is fine but any restaurants to visit etc would be great...

Did you go? We are going in May and also would appreciate any tips on getting the most from a few days.
I want to do a Canal tour, and buy chocolate, but apart from that have no clue.

I promised my DP a trip to Bruges for his 60th, I'm now discovering there are no direct flights/Eurostar from London to Bruges. Does anyone have any advice on how to easily get there from Kent.

We drove!! It's really easy and takes about 2-2.5 hours although dependent on the border patrols it can take a little longer

Driving is dead easy come off the eurotunnel and turn left. Equally changing at Brussels and catching a local train to Brugges is really very easy.
