Do you have any restaurants/shows booked?
How long are you there for?
What hotel?

Vehas is a love/loathe place. I love it!

No shows booked yet, going to the Grand Canyon, Hoover dam and of course a lot if time spent on the strip shopping, drinking! Etc Staying in the tropicana.

Take comfy shoes and blister plasters!! Drink a lot of water and take regular breaks! Don't underestimate the size of the strip! It is HUGE. Have fun!

Go to the duelling pianos show at New York New York. It's brilliant. The Neon Boneyard is worth a visit as is the Mob Museum, both close to Fremont Street.

I agree about the duelling pianos it's brilliant
Top of the stratosphere
Visit bellagio

VulcanWoman · 18/01/2016 14:17

I think going to the edge of the Grand Canyon is better than flying over.
Buffets!! not been for a long time but remember the Luxor buffet amazing, have heard the Bellagio is a good 'un.

VulcanWoman · 18/01/2016 14:18

Oh, and have a great time.

Bellagio fountains, pirate show outside treasure island, volcano at mirage, lake of dreams show in Wynn. They are some of the free sights.

Take a trip to Fremont street downtown.
There are ticket booths at the Coca Cola sign near mgm and one at fashion show mall for cheap last minute show tickets.

Hope you have a great trip.

yes to the blister plasters, medical stuff is really expensive in the USA. Antacids too, to maybe that was jsut me, the alcoholic slush drinks wrecked my stomach, not sure if it was the sugar or the alcohol, butthe drinks themselves are lush.

Use the bus, its really easy to operate and saves your feet, ditto for the free monorail.

I remember we went to the sunday brunch buffet, unlimited champagne or mimosas and amazing food for not alot of money. The buffets over there are actually very good. Nice cuts of meat well cooked and not hanging around for ages, becasue they are so big theres a fast turn over of food so it never seems to get old or dried up quickly.

The atlantis fountain show is pretty funny, inside the shopping centre at caesars palace. ditto for all the free shows that the casinos have, all worth a look.

Have a good trip, I'd love to visit again!!!

We got a good deal at the Planet Hollywood buffet, I had read it was one of the better ones. It was on some Travel Zoo deal and worked out at $90 I think for unlimited buffet for 4, including all soft drinks and alcohol!

I normally like to explore a lot on our own but we were only in Vegas for 2 nights as we were heading to California so booked a jeep tour at night. It took us to loads stuff and you had time at the sign, Stratosphere, Freemont Street etc. Guy also timed it so were at the Mirage to see the free Volcano show which was great!

Brunch at the Wynn
We spent days just wandering, gambling, eating , drinking.
The outlet mall at the end of the strip is good.
We drove to the grand canyon and spent the night at Flagstaff which wasba nice town
Hoover dam
Penn and Teller was fun
