am getting confused! Is Central Puerto pollensa ok? Have found 2 apartments in this area both saying 2 mins to the beach/ square and 5 mins to pine walk. Is this area ok?

It's perfect! The town square has loads of restaurants and cafes, and the market on a Wednesday morning. The Pine Walk is a pedestrianised path along the back of the smaller beach, bit bumpy if you have a Maclaren-type buggy with smaller wheels, but it never seemed to bother out little ones.

There are two beaches in Puerto Pollensa, one either side of the marina area. The bigger wider one is backed by the main road that goes round the bay to Alcudia, the smaller one is backed by the Pine Walk and is divided every so often by little walls. We like the smaller beach areas, just because it's not much distance from the Pine Walk to the sea so it's really easy to keep an eye on younger children.

Puerto Pollensa isn't rowdy, so even if an apartment is 'central' the only noise disturbance you should get is maybe the early morning bin men. There are not going to be gangs of drunk people leaving nightclubs at 2am.
