Ok I'd love to book a long weekend or maybe even week long cheap trip away for myself and DC.
We live near Chester on the Shropshire Welsh Border .
Ds is 12 and Dd 5 .
I'm happy to drive but really struggle with motorways .
I would love to have the confidence to make say a short ferry crossing to France as long as the other side where we stayed was easily accessible via public transport or a VERY short drive , so prob not worth the worry .
Love the beach, lakes, mountains , anything really but have heard a few negatives about these hols so I suppose just after any tips .
