We're off to Newquay this summer for the first time and we're really excited! (never been to Cornwall before)

What are the best beaches and places to go with young children? Ours will be 7y, 5y, 3y and 3months.

thanks

Stella xx

me too stellar! If you see a strange looking man who is 6 foot 5, with a short blonde woman, DS1 aged 15, and a baby, all yelling for a mad black dog to "come" or "sit", come and introduce yourself!!!

hi stella

this has been discussed before. try searching on newquay, padstow, bedruthan in current and archived messages.

it's a great area, you will have a brilliant time.

Just don't go near The California Hotel, it is a complete armpit. Dirty, run down place. Rude staff. Basil Fawlty would be out of his depth.

Awww I love Newquay, its like my second home but I can never remember the names of the beaches. There's one beach that is really nice, which has a house on top of this cliff bit all on its own, with a bridge to go over to the main land. That's really nice, they do teas and cream cakes there

And they have the best chippy there. Called The Golden Chip, they were the best chips Ive ever had!!! lol
