Me and dh had a wonderful time in Didsbury (Manchester)in the summer but cant drive that far for new year.

So we are looking for something similar, a nice boutique-y type hotel, somewhere in south west (or about 2 hours from Cardiff), we want to be able to drink locally new years eve, just little pubs, nothing to crazy, just relaxed.

Any suggestions? Thanks

please someone suggest somewhere.

Have looked at some outrageously priced places, just want to spend a nice night with dh.

Maybe Bath/Oxford/Cotswolds

WWW do not want to be in Wales for New Year, hence the excitement at getting sitter

Have phoned a couple of places today and I think they must be taking the piss, one hotel in the cotswolds said they could offer us a suite for one night at £1300 ??? WTF

and two hotels in bath are charging £700-£800pp for room, gala dinner, and brunch .....I'm sorry but for that price I'd want them to feed me for a year.

Our face hotel has offered us a rate of £150 for the night, but its a long drive for one night
