I've been watching this, why was it so bad?

Too small, hardly any parking, packed in like cattle in coffee shop, 4 vicky pollards on the coffee counter none of whom could work the coffee machine.

£3.95/ £4.95 for a 1 and 6 year old for 90 minutes.
Loud, hot, badly laid out

Kids liked it though, playframe was ok.

Just hell on earth being in there. Little bit like Trilakes but not as good. WHich isn't saying much.

Sorry, I have to agree that Jakes isn't as good as some other venues - such as Monkey Mates.

Parking is very limited, though Jakes have arranged with Pantiles to permit parking in Pantiles carpark, a very short walk away.

Children liked the playframe, though to me it does not seem to be the biggest around. Playframe is designed by SPI, so the slide can be climbed by children! Both times I've visited so far, no staff have been monitoring the slide, and some parents don't keep their an eye on their children, thus you have some children climbing the slide.

When busy it can be very hot at the top of the playframe, though went during the week towards end of term, and it was much cooler. So amount of human bodies seems to make the difference.

Big benefit for me though, is that I can walk to the venue. They have a discount scheme if you walk there, or come via public transport.

Went to Jakes yesterday. Coffee machine still playing up and although they were busy, only one person serving at the coffee-shop bit, so took ages, good 20 mins to get served.

Children liked it though, but did complain that they kept being bumped by other children... too busy perhaps? Did quieten down once a Party Group (would guess they were 7/8 year olds) went to the party room.

Certainly seems as if Jakes is proving to be popular, they were certainly busy yesterday.
