No, but I'm from Perth so if you wanted any info on places to go i could help.
You lucky thing, i'm quite jealous! My englishman husband isn't keen on the idea so i'm stuck in blighty.

Thanks Loopylopey. You poor thing. How long have you been here? My partner just can't stand the English weather and wants longer days to do stuff. Bit worried about daughter tho - she's 13!. Do you have any areas which would be good for our hol?

Urm, Loopylopey, why won't your hub consider the idea of moving to oz?

hello - i've been here since 1992! came over to go travelling but ended up enjoying living in london too much so stayed! but i do love england and all my friends are here so i think it would be hard to resettle out there. ideally, i'd love to spend half my time here and half there.

holidays - i'd spend a day or so in fremantle as its a lovely town and kind of separate to perth in a way. i always head down south to margaret river and we camp and spend days on the beach and go exploring the vineyards. i love going to rottnest island for a couple of nights too, its only 30mins on a ferry from perth so its really easy.

i know what you mean about english weather - but the one thing english weather has over australian weather is that it stays light in summer - it gets dark in australia by about 7pm.

re my hub - i think its the remoteness of it all. especially perth, i think it freaks him out a bit. and the amount of poms, i think he thinks its going to be like the costa del sol living there! in some parts of perth it is. he might consider melbourne as theres a bit more going on and close to other cities.

when are you going?

Hi
Thanks for the info. We're thinking of going end of March into April.
My partner's really fed up now with the cold, damp, dark weather. If we have one more day he's buying flights somewhere warm - hooray!

hey loopylopey, I am australian also, first came in 1992 as well. Dont often meet people who have been here as long as me.
Are you still in London?
If so you might like to join the MN aussie mums club.
