My boyfriend and his brother in law are desperate to watch Liverpool away to Blackburn on boxing day but there is no public transport and i have tried everything. By any tiny chance is there anyone travelling there who would fit 2 more people for a return journey? of course they would pay petrol money. I know its a long shot but my boyfriend is so disappointed. The tickets will be sold out soon so he needs to find arrangements as soon as.

Please is there anyone out there????
i would be forever grateful and im sure he would be too

is there not a local blackburn supporters club in Kent, that would be a good bet to try

DingDongDraculaOnHigh · 14/12/2006 12:43

here you go they cover the south

it seems like a long shot!

There are probably Liverpool supporters forums they could try?

Is renting a car out of the question? I guess not likely to be able to rent for one day only then, so might be expensive.

DingDongDraculaOnHigh · 14/12/2006 12:44

also try the chat boards like this one

juicychops,

Where are you?

which side do they support? (sounds daft but could be important in getting a lift home iykwim)
these footy fans can be odd creatures!

juicychops · 14/12/2006 12:54

DingDongDraculaOnHigh · 14/12/2006 13:04

I can ask my dh to ask his mates if anyone is your way. It wont be until tonight (After work) but will ask if you like?

onzephyrstdayofchristmas · 14/12/2006 13:29

Could they afford to rent a car? We've booked one for 4 days over xmas and it's only costing £109 - thats for a big car too....

juicychops · 14/12/2006 13:31

Thanks busybusymum id really appreciate that.
They cant rent a car as neither of them can drive and i expect a cab would be a million quid!

busybusymum · 14/12/2006 13:34

I will get him to ask tonight and let you know what they say!

juicychops · 14/12/2006 13:46

Hi BBM did you have any luck with searching for someone??

OP posts:
busybusymum · 16/12/2006 13:27

Sorry juicychops, no-one he knows is coming near your way. Sorry.

It s shame as I assume you already have the tickets. Perhaps contact local coach firms or what about the trains are they not running. So Sorry we couldnt help.

geordiemacmincepie · 19/12/2006 15:56

My boyfriend is a die hard red - try www.rawk.co.uk, this is the main liverpool supporters thread. Also will ask him if there is any other way of travelling

geordiemacmincepie · 19/12/2006 15:59

yep, RAWK (redandwhitekop) have a travel and ticket section which includes lift share, ticket swaps etc. This is without a doubt the best place to look as it is the biggest liverpool fan site. Hope this helps.. and that the red men win!!!
