I'm after some suggestions - we have 2 girls aged 3&5 and are looking a family holiday in July/August next year. Previously we've been away with friends to villas in France. Looking to widen the net and strike out on our own as a family of 4. But everything I find is based on one bedroom and a living room with a pull out bed! As a couple we like to have dinner and socialise with people, but I can't seem to find somewhere that we can do that!! Also would like a beach location! Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Get a two bedroom villa or apartment?

Just get a larger place?

We had a lovely 3 bed bungalow villa in Croatia last year. Right on the coast ( had walkway to own jetty). Ours were 3 and 4 last year. It was big enough for 8 if you used sofa bed. We had kids in our room ( as they prefered co sleeping), and used the two spare bedrooms for grandparents visiting.

Carolina park, marbella?

Are you looking for somewhere with communal meals - if so I think Mark Warner or Neilson do something like that, or is it more an aparthotel?

If it's the latter - so 2 bed self catering but with communal pool, restaurant facilities and some entertainment on site, then loads of places exist. I'd recommend Regency Country Club - Tenerife as our personal favourite a short bus ride to the beach, La Manga might work well for you as well although it's very spread out, or in Sardinia Chia Laguna has two bedroom family hotel rooms, it's half board (food is amazing) and there's a little bus/train that takes you to the beach which your girls would love.

I'd recommend looking at James Villas resorts as I think that's the kind of thing you're after worth pricing it up separately though as usually a lot cheaper than booking through them.

Check out babyfriendlyboltholes.com for some great options. We've used one of their UK places with friends and were very satisfied.
