Cyprus? Advice or thoughts please.

I've booked a holiday to Cyprus next July, about an hour's drive away from the air base where the air strikes on Syria are taking off from. What does everyone think? Do you think it's safe to go ahead with the holiday or would you cancel it? TIA

I'd say it's safe to go ahead. Bombers have been taking off from Akrotiri for the last year - I think it'd be riskier to have a holiday in London tbh

I live 5 minutes drive from Akrotiri where the jets are taking off from. I'm not worried and neither is anyone else around here. As Sunny says, its nothing new.

I'd say it's fine. Really wouldn't worry me. What are you concerned about specifically - that Cyprus will become a target for a terrorist attack? I would have thought the risk would be lower than being in the UK to be honest.
