We're going this year.

I can't work out how warm to expect it to be. If we're going for 2 weeks, we're likely to get some sun at some point, aren't we, even though it's winter? And maybe get a light tan...?
Or am I being over optimistic?

I was in lanzarote last Xmas , it was really sunny, no chill factor but I was in light trousers , cardi, trainers kind of clothes. You can certainly sit all afternoon on beach and maybe get a light tan but sea is freezing as also the pools if unheated .

Thanks Sister. Yes, I imagined it might not be terribly warm, but hoped perhaps for some nice outdoorsy weather and sunshine. Sounds like we might get some of that if we're lucky.

We went to lanzarote the week before Xmas two years ago. It was quite windy and cool out of the sun but lanzarote is noted for its windiness.

Yes, you'll get sunshine. In a protected spot should be very pleasant.

Unless you hit rain and bad weather which is anyone's guess isn't it.
