looking for good suitcases

We have thrown away our old soft suitcases as they were so flimsy.
Looking for some good deals on Black Friday. Are there any good light hard cases suitcases out there? Would need two fairly large ones. What do you have any why do you like them?

Hello, this thread is a little old and some of the recommendations might be out of date. Whether you’re looking for cheap and cheerful family luggage or you’d like to invest in a quality cabin bag, take a look at our round-up of the best suitcases (according to Mumsnetters) for more up-to-date advice. I'm airline crew, so mine get hammered. I would choose Delsey or secondly Samsonite.

Madbengalmum · 23/11/2015 18:40

Sansonite cosmolite, not cheap but the best and lightest hard cases i have ever had.

Madbengalmum · 23/11/2015 18:42

To add these travel everywhere, have four wheels and take a real bashing but seven years on still as good as new. And we travel alot.

Optimist1 · 23/11/2015 19:21

Samsonite or Antler would get my vote - agree that 4 wheels and as light as possible are significant benefits.

Samsonite as you can pack more a they weigh nothing plus are tough, long lasting and they are recommended for frquent flyers.
4 wheels so they glide along beside you so really easy to move, no dragging, push or pulling.
