I am going MAD, please help????

My 7 month baby does not like to go out, when she does she just cries & cries!!! She screams when she is on a pushchair and then it becoms so hard to settle her and then i don't ever take her out. But she is an angel at home. PLEASE HELP ME???

is it the pushchair that's the problem?

are the straps fitted properly? is she comfy?

is she facing you or facing out?

Pushshair isn't the problem, as i tried a different 1 yesterday. This 1 was facing towards me, as i thouhgt if she sees me she wont cry. But she did, i carried her, but she still cried. In the end i had to rush home as usual she was fine at home. I am becoming like a hermit at home bcos of her.

has she always been upset outside? is she ok once she gets inside anywhere else or just ok at home?

she just likes being at home, and also cries when she sits on the car seat aswell. I am thinking of getting a sling, any suggestions????

oh bless her. really not sure what to suggest but a lot of people do swear by slings. as yu say, she likes being carried so maybe worth a try. hope you sort it out soon.

Will she sit happily in a chair at home? Or do you spend alot of time carrying her? Also, are you putting her in very warm clothing when you go out? May be there is some change to the way you do things with her outside the home with clothing etc.? If in doubt, ask the Health Visitor - they can be surprisingly helpful on practical issues.

Thnxxx everyone!!!! Its a difficult issue i know. She plays on her own at home, as she runs around on her walker and she rarely wants attention!!!! Its just when she goes out that is what causes the problem, its really frustrating as she cries even morw whn she sees too many people and also hates the sound of cars, etc!!!!

Sounds to me like a combination of things, many children don't like the noise and feeling of space outside. How is she if you carry her, is she settled then? Some children don't like the vibration of the pushchair, I have found that using a sheepskin for them to sit on seems to help with this. How is she if you just sit outside (on a bench, I know its a bit cold at the mo!)Does she cry as soon as she is put in the pushchair?
Do you push quickly or slowly, I have had several children who will only settle if pushed quickly.....very good for the figure!
When I have dealt with this problem before it has always managed to get sorted although sometimes it took a little time.
