Getting Away For Xmas

Pupsiecola · 26/10/2015 09:27

Any ideas for an xmas get away? Up to 7 days with a budget of 3k for a family of 4 (12 and 10 year old DCs). Somewhere warm/hot, up to an 8 hour flight. (Ideally we'd go skiing as we've done that before but at 5k it's too expensive).

TIA

At £750 a head you are going to really struggle to find somewhere hot and that cheap over Christmas. might be a better idea to do something last minute and hope to pick up a bargain. we went to belize last year. perfect weather but the flights were £500 each without the accom. and everything else on top. £5K for a weeks skiing at this time doesn't sound that unreasonable to me to be fair.

You may get Egypt if you are a little flexible with the budget. we have been twice for Xmas and weather is always around 27 degrees.

Thanks. Think we will try to get a last minute skiing deal.

I was looking at skiing last night, there are a few good deals about. Good luck.

Good luck with getting a ski holiday for 4 people for that price over Christmas!

We booked last week. Got a £1700 late booking reduction from 20th to 27th with Esprit. Cost us £3,200. That's chalet, lift passes, ski hire, flights, transfers, 4 course dinner etc. Very happy with that :-) It was the chalet we were holding out for too :-)
