Shops/markets
Quirky, unusual. Can you get any bargains in London? Anyone that is a must visit just for the experience?

Eating out
Relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Not part of a chain, nothing fancy or expensive but good quality food. Doesn't have to be veggie but must have plenty of veggie options.

Places to visit
Anywhere different to visit, not the usual tourist sites. Nothing costly.

Thanks

London is enormous - can you narrow it down a bit?

Time Out London is very good for quirky, and vegetarian, and you can filter by area.

What kind of things do you like? Whenever I go somewhere new I like to look up the attractions in that area then I can decide what to visit based on my own preferences. There are plenty of shops and markets in London, same with restaurants and a lot will be dependent on where you plan to stay

Not staying, just visiting for the day. So I'm open to any suggestions within central London

If you like jazz, then Ray's jazz cd shop upstairs in Foyles. In fact Foyles in general though not as quirky / downright random as it used to be is still on my top list for visiting when in London. (The cafe's nice too, though again not as nice as it was when smaller)

There is a tapas restaurant between Covent Garden & Tottenham Court Road called Jamon Jamon which is great.

Do you like indian food? there is a side street nr Euston station which has several Indian veggie buffet lunch restaurants which are bargain priced.

Thanks for the suggestions - the tapas place sounds particularly interesting

Its a favourite of mine and pretty reasonable prices for the centre of London. jamonjamon.uk.com/find-us/
