On my wish list is a pool, walking distance to shop for basics (bread, milk, wine!). Plus maybe a couple of restaurants.

Beach not absolutely necessary - am thinking perhaps a small town/village inland?

I can't seem to find a website for more rural properties specifically - does anyone know of any?

THank you.

Deia is lovely. There's a wee shop, few nice restaurants and walks. We had a nice villa there once with a pool. It's about an hour from Palma in the mountains.

Will try and find on website.

Owners direct is where we found it. Link here.

Pollensa (old town) is just gorgeous. We had a villa from villa direct and was brill

Many years ago we spent a day in Camp De Mar - it was small and quirt with a stunning beach. Not sure how much it has grown.

Don't know any specific rental properties but Porto Colom is a lovely unspoiled town.

Deia is nice as is soller.

Cala San Vincente is nice as long as not in high season.

Formentor also nice although driving a little hairy.

Over use of 'nice' there but happy hol hunting Smile

Thanks all, will have a look at those suggestions.

Soller is lovely, especially early in the season when the orange blossom is out. You can take a day trip down to Palma from there, through gorgeous scenery.
