Nice hotel with pool/slides/activities (not CP) for 10 year old

We want to do something between Christmas and NY for a couple of nights. DS age 10 will be with us, wanted maybe a nice hotel that has pool and long shot I know but maybe slides or activities near by.

Happy to do anywhere even London, any ideas?

ummm Wales, and Devon Cornwall a little too far we are midlands, couple of hours drive ok

You did say anywhere in UK! I don't know where you are in the Midlands, but Birmingham to Cardiff is only a couple of hours drive.
