Easter Holiday Ideas

We are looking to go away for 2 weeks at Easter with a 4 year old and an 18 month old. We usually go long haul but I'm a bit apprehensive with an 18 month old boy. Can anyone recommend somewhere with Carribean weather but not so long flight time. I can only come up with Egypt but I'm worried about 'funny' tummies there!

Anywhere in the Caribbean is an 8 hour flight! Antigua and Barbados have direct flights and lots of holiday options. Other islands such as St Lucia probably do too. Florida is cheaper and Mexico probably is too. Dominican Republic and Cuba are cheap for the Caribbean if you like AI. Everyone I know who has been there never left the holiday complex. I much prefer Antugua and Barbados and the best is the BVI. Costs more and no direct flights but wonderful.

Only you know if your DS will be ok on a longer flight. We didn't do long haul until they were 5. We stayed in Europe before that. But I can't stand crying children on an aircraft - mine or anyone else's, so we stayed a bit more local and drove to France.

Cyprus. Israel. Canary Islands. Would just make sure you have a guaranteed heated pool. Food in Israel is lovely.

We have been to the Canary Islands the last 2 Easters.... Brilliant weather, hot and sunny.
