Looking to get away for a holiday. Time flexible Nov-Jan. DS currently 10 weeks so he'd be 4-6 months. We would like longhaul, accom where there is access directly to sunbathing (so ground floor, pool or beachside) and an option to close door on baby in the evening, so either a decent terrace or separate bedroom. Can't decide on Self catering or hotel. Need to be able to wash clothes I guess. A/C and/or ceiling fans and screens preferred.

Needs to be somewhere one world airlines go, BA by preference. Have looked at Thailand, Mauritius, Barbados etc. struggling to do quality googling with babe in arms....

Would love recommendations. Sorry for one handed post.

Mauritius is incredible for kids. We took ours at 10 months and found that people could not do enough for us. If the budget will stretch to it have a look at Anahita The Resort which is stunning. All the rooms are suites with their own kitchens, dining areas etc. which will useful with a baby (they will even send a chef to cook for you in your own room) and there is a fantastic kids club, run by English nannies to OFSTED standards, which takes babies as young as 4 months old to give you a break if you need it. For an even bigger budget the neighbouring Four Seasons is superb.

Wow Anahita does look amazing but not sure if we can quite stretch to that. Four Seasons was 2 or 3 times as much so definitely out of the question. Boo. The Anahita is exactly what we had in mind though. Might try different dates.

Any other suggestions welcome.
