Going to York in half term with two 14 year old girls ( daughter and her best friend) and our twin boys of 12. We're staying in a boat on the Ouse. Anyone local who can give me the whereabouts of a decent skateboard park and any other 'entertainment' ideas? Is it worth booking on a ghost tour one evening? Decent reasonable restaurants? Thanks! ??

Hi

There is a skateboard park at rowntrees park, near the river. You could also go to the York dungeons. The ghost tours are brilliant, the best one is the one that starts at the shambles. There is a York tour bus which is quite fun, as it goes all round York and you can hop on an off. There are so many great restaurants, and some chain ones such as cafe rouge and cosmo. Hope this helps and hope you have a good time in York, its a fab place (not biased). If you have a car, flamingoland is not far away and there is a highwires and climbing place on the outskirts of York
