Best package holiday company for small hotels like Thompson Small & Friendly?

Looking for half board in a small hotel. Not Greece or Turkey. Any recommendations or suggestions please.

Or maybe cheaper to book hotel and flight separately?

Have a look at Booking.com for accommodation, and flights on Ryanair/Easyjet...I find this much cheaper than most packages. The Algarve is normally quite reasonable.
