Pollensa villas

Any recommendations?
I fancy having a bit of a break from trekking around France and I've visited Pollensa town years ago. I wondered about staying somewhere half way between coast and town - any MN'ers around with any advice?

really liked peurto pollensa. why stay between the 2 as you have to drive to both? also liked acudia old town - in fact preferred that to pollensa

I think Pollensa is much nicer than puerto pollensa . I agree that old town alcudia is lovely too but someof the other parts are not so good. I would agree with dreaming tho and would stay in 1 place or another so that you could walk to restaurants rather than driving everywhere.

We've got so used to peace and quiet and being out of the way - we all rather like it!

That said, my parents love to wander around and it would be great for them to not have to rely on us driving them everywhere to get to a coffi shop etc.

Where to stay though - Town or Beach?!

Town. Presumably you will hire a car anyway so you can always drive to the beach when you want it. Having to drive out at night for dinner and evening shopping/entertainment will be much harder work and someone always has to stay sober.

That way If your parents want to wander around the town in the daytime while you go off further afield they can.

i guess it depends if you prefer a beach or old town vibe.

Old town is great. We always stay there and drive to the beach. Lots of nice villas in La Font. Sealand Villas have lots of nice ones.

La Font is just outside Pollensa?

lots of villas in la font are within walking distance of the old town-the villa link i posted is from that area
