Canary Islands, any recommendations?

I don't know where to start looking!

We prefer self-catering, and are thinking of going in October. We prefer places that are as unspoilt as possible, and like quieter places. Have young children so prefer to avoid places with lots of bars/that are lively at night.

This place is pretty special.

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is nice, lots of apartments, the area closer to the marina is v good.

Also been to Puerto Mogan in Gran Canaria, small resort therefore quiet, some great restaurants.

We are going to Puerto Calero in Lanzarote this October which is very small and quiet, I love winter sun holidays and canaries are ideal for October.

I wouldn't risk the weather in Menorca in later October. Gorgeous Island, but better between May & September.

Restaurants etc in Menorca might have started closing up towards the end of October. It's not as 'year round' as the Canaries.
