De kempervennen tips for easter break please

I'm about to book 6 nights at De Kempervennen over Easter hols for me and my 3 sons aged 13, 8 & 6. It looks great!
I'm wondering is it worth paying extra for premium or even VIP villas? Our budget is lean but I hate the smell of smoke and like to be comfortable.
Which villas are in the best location? We hope to ski but will hire bikes.
We will fly to Schipol but will make our way by public transport. We fancy de Elfteling as a day trip- is this feasible without a car?
Are there any interesting places to visit by public transport or bike even?
Any tips appreciated before I click :-)

We stayed at De Kempervennen in the summer. We had a premium villa as we needed one that would sleep 7. It was fine and great to have the beds ready on arrival. I think you have to hire linnen or bring your own if you are in the basic villas, so upgrading may not be that much more expensive.

If you book 6 months in advance you can choose your location. Best thing to do is check a map and decide which area you want to be close to. We wanted to be near a playground and the farm so my youngest could go on his own. This meant that we were quite away from the market dome and swimming pool, but close to beach, water sport lake and sports centre.

Efterling is fab! But we drove so not sure how easy it is to do on public transport.

Thanks Asheth villas are booking up quickly already I see. Would there be enough to keep kids happy for 6 nights? We are flying over so 4 night breaks don't work out much cheaper

We stayed a week! There's loads of activities so depending on your budget you can easily fill your time! There's more for the over 8s, as many activities start at that age.

My DC were easily able to spend three or more hours in the swimming pool! If the weather is good the beach is fun as well.

Thanks Asheth I booked 6 nights as would like to see a bit of Holland as well. We went to Duinrell 3 years ago though it was hard to get kids off site :-)
