USA Visa help!

MistressofIndecision · 28/08/2015 09:19

Just about to apply for our ESTA visa for travel to USA in October and it said that payment is to be made by credit card, can I use my visa debit card? Don't have a credit card so will this be a problem?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure I used my debit card when I did it earlier in the year....I was also very careful to make sure I was on the proper site - there's a link on Martin Lewis's Money Saving Exoert page - because there are a lot of other sites that overcharge by loads.

Thank you Fabellini, I thought it would be ok but didn't want to start the process if they were going to reject the payment.

Only use the official US government website when it comes to ESTA applications. Its this one - esta.cbp.dhs.gov/

There are many scammers out there who will overcharge the traveller given any opportunity.

Thanks Attila, that's the site I've used, our applications are now pending!!

That's normal particularly if you are a first time visitor to the US: you should hear from them more within a couple of days.
