December short break: Budapest, Prague or Vienna?

I know there is a similar thread which I'm watching with interest but didn't want to hijack it! I'm also looking to arrange a weekend away in December for a significant birthday, shortlist in OP (as places DH has always wanted to go).
I guess weather (cold) wise they'll be about the same? Would be interested in knowing which had most to offer if it really is bitterly cold/wet - although we wouldn't want to spend lots of time in museums. Wouldn't go anywhere just for Christmas markets, more to have a swift look round the city and enjoy relaxing in cafes/bars etc
Thanks.

They're all great, but I'd say Vienna has the most and best museums and cafes. Budapest might feel a bit depressing in constant wet and cold, and you'd miss the fantastic views over the Danube which are one of its great charms. I think Prague would be fine and there is quite a bit to see and do, though I found the cuisine a bit heavy - Vienna is probably better/more varied from that point of view.

I've only made relatively short trips to each, except for two weeks in Vienna last week, so happy to be corrected by people who know them better!

Thank you Irene. My concern is not being able to get the best of any of these cities if it's very wet and cold. Maybe best to delay to the spring.
