help, advice re. car seat on plane for 2 years old

I am going on a 3 hour plane journey with my 2 yo DD3. She is disabled and not able to sit by herself in a plane seat, she can sit, but is very floppy, and will slide under the seat belt, or lurch forward, but she's too old to sit on my lap. So she needs to be strapped in, in a car seat. Our car seats are not approved for use on aeroplanes, so I went to our local baby-equipment shop to ask, they had never heard of the problem before, didn't have anything suitable, especially not for hire. She is about 14 kg, and 95 cm tall
Does anyone know of car seats for her size that are approved for flying?

Depends on the airline. Who are you flying with?

FruPigalopp · 02/09/2015 14:43

easyjet out, germanwings home

Would a harness be suitable?

kidsflysafe.com, something like this?

Here's a list of car seats that are compliant but they only quote German Wings, not Easyjet.

Our airline have harnesses available to use onboard. Have you rang them? They may have something x

The Britax eclipse is compliant too it would seem

This could also be helpful. Britax do the same thing but it's about £75

have you spoken with the airline? Easy jet were fabulous with my disabled mother and accommodating her - though they did need a bit of notice
