we are travelling to dubai when dd will be about 6 months old and are worried abot how to get her around. have been before but not with a baby! should we take a car seat and hope that the taxis etc have back seat belts/ no air bags in the front? do the majority of car seats fit most cars?
does anyone have experience of this? am worried we'll end up stuck in the hotel, unable to take her anywhere except in the pushchair!

TIA

we were in dubai in october. We took our 4 yr old ds's carseat with us .They don't seem to use them much there at all.saw loads of kids leaning on dashboards, waving out the back...horrendous really!
Definately take your own.The cars are all modern ,loads of 4x4's ,you should have no problem fitting it in them.
Driving is atrocious out there btw.You need to tell the taxi driver to slow down and drive safely if you feel they need to.hth

Yes,it was fine as it uses the normal seatbelt.
