Sick of seeing advertised deals that don't work out to be anywhere near the price quoted.

Looking to go tomorrow Smile

Bumping this because I'm fed up of this bloody rain now! Anyone else look g to,beg away I over the BH weekend?

Have looked at Lastminute.com but I find their site difficult to navigate - as in you have to search by specific location/airport rather than country!

Anyone found any bargains they'd like to share please? Or maybe UK but with indoor facilities if the rain persists!

Have you tried teletext holidays? You use to be able to get a bargain on there but I haven't used it in a long while.

CestTout · 26/08/2015 11:36

So I messed that link up!! Thomson

Thanks ladies! I thought teletext was no more but shall look.

Just had two weeks in Sweden on the southern Island of Oland. £1200 self catering for 4 including car hire and flights. Beaches lovely and quiet as Swedish kids gone back to school. Not too hot but been 25-27 with clear blue skies everyday.

Jungfraujoch · 26/08/2015 18:50

Bargain indeed Gingerdad! Where did you find that?

AnyFucker · 26/08/2015 19:06

All my own work. Flew to Copenhagen for £35.99 each. Two weeks car rental £200 and holiday home with pool and sauna £800 for two weeks. Don't do travel agents.

AnyFucker · 28/08/2015 13:49

Impressive. How far was the drive from Copenhagen ?

3 hours but plenty closer we wanted to try somewhere off the beaten track.

Also our cottage could sleep up to 7.

Have u tried travel supermarket? Not bad for last minute cheapies but you have to trawl a bit n check hotels...I'm looking for similar but as going alone I can't find anything cheap enough - the world loves couples when it comes to holidays
Good luck.

We use Jet2 for cheap holidays, the price you see on-line is actually the price you pay unlike lots of other sites, which like you say bear no relation to the price you end up paying.

We went to Turkey last year and Rhodes this year with Jet2, there were other families there who'd booked with other companies and from what I could gather they had pay a lot more for the same holiday.

Hope you got away AF
On MN advice, we've just had our best ever holiday by booking flights on Skyscanner and accommodation on airbnb. Airbnb was great to seach on as you can see accommodation by price as you hover on a map.

We had a staycation instead and had a lovely time. The weather was kinder than the forecasts had said. Thanks for asking. Glad you had a good time too Smile
