Haven't been to Ibiza (tho would like to!) but was pleasantly surprised by Majorca as a holiday resort. We stayed near Puerto Pollensa though have had friends who really like Cala d'Or too. Lots of villas to choose from, we found both ours on the internet privately. Puerto Pollensa has a lovely beach and a quite large resort but you don't get teenagers there, not much nightlife, so ideal for families with younger children. Of course there are a lot of Brits but I'm guessing if you are going with children you don't want somwhwere in the middle of nowhere...

thanks aznerak, the property looks lovely. We were trying to steer away from France as we have been there 4 years running now... I will keep the details for future ref. though, ta.

Hi, we've stopped at Ibiza twice at the Sirenis Jabeque apartments nr Playa d'en Bossa. They have one and two bed apartments which are in good order and spacious. Its next to the sea situated between Playa and Figueratas (5 mins each way). I'm quite particular and don't really like playa, although its ok for a wander in the daytime, otherwise its really busy. In the evening we always went to Figueratas because there were loads of restaurants on the promenade. You can also walk (or get the boat) to Ibiza town. We booked through Direct Hols and Thomas Cook. I would certainly go back and would recommend it.

BTW, our DDS are 1 and 3 and they both loved it, they lasted 2 weeks and although ready for home they enjoyed there time there without being bored.
