Destinations for a 2 week holiday in October?

Where would be sunny and hot for a two week family holiday in October? We're up for a beach or adventure holiday but not keen on going to North Africa, Egypt and Middle East.

Florida or a safari?

How old are the kids? I'd suggest a safari too.

Have you thought about Cyprus. October is just about the last month of the year when you'll get half decent temperatures, relatively long sunny days, and little chance of rain, especially at the start of October. Pools and sea will still be warmish and you don't tend to get the wind as it's relatively sheltered in the Eastern Med so doesn't get the weather from the Atlantic like the Canaries or Portugal/Spain.

Tenerife? Cancun? How old are DCs? They have some amazing hotels in cancun with fab facilities for kiddies

Sardegna in October is meant to be quite nice...Corsica too. Malta as well.

If money no object how about one week in Cancun then a week in Florida. Or vice versa.
