Can anyone recommend a hotel for a short break next weekend, that's within an hour (ish) of london? Doesn't need to be fancy but quiet would be nice, with a pub for dinner, and a decent room for sleeping and reading, and somewhere local for walking would be nice!
Would like a big country hotel with a very rural feel ideally but budget is tight...
