Captiva Island Florida , anyone been?

Hi has anyone been here? Reading online that food prices are really high, any thoughts.

We went to Captiva last year...spent a week in Fort Myers beach and a week on Sanibel.

By comparison to Orlando, eating out is probably pricier on Captiva, but I'd say it's still cheaper than eating out in the UK mostly. The difference with Sanibel/Captiva is that there are no chains, all independents. Some nice restaurants though, and Captiva is a wonderful place to watch the sunset.
