Toddler friendly lunch stop in New Forest

We are off on holiday to Devon from Surrey. Will be passing through the New Forest on the A31 and want somewhere nice to stop for a leisurely lunch that has something to keep my 2.5 yr old DD entertained. Any ideas?

Was on holiday down there recently. Moors Valley Country Park is lovely, massive play area and steam train and walks, nice cafe but not adult-special, depends what you want!! Most pubs in the area had outside play areas, we went to one in the centre of Lyndhurst which was good (although queue from A31 to Lyndhurst can be v v v v slow).

That sounds perfect! Doesn't need to be a special place food wise - might even take a picnic if the weather looks like being decent. Thank you!
