Shorthaul for first holiday - quiet family with a clean freak

My DC's have never been on an aeropane and I have promised them a "real" holiday next year.

To them this is flying, sun, sand, pool etc. To me this is stress, crowds, busy-ness, mess.

So....where can I take us (4 DC's) that there can have fun but we (me and DH) might be able to relax.

Currently looking at Menorca as it's close-ish and relatively quiet but I'm open to suggestions - the accommodation has to be tip-top please

sorry should say age range of DC's is wide 3-17 so a toddler friendly pool is a must....not that bothered about "older" stuff as we are all quite quiet, beach-bar/restaurants would be good....

Menorca sounds like a safe bet then

I would recommend Menorca, is is less in your face than Mallorca and is a smaller island so quicker to get from the airport to resort, and the flight is short as well.
