We went to the Egypt centre in the university today, passed a couple of hours.
The waterfront museum is another place worth a visit, both are free which leaves some funds for lunch out.
Th pier in Mumbles is nice, and they have an arcade if you have youngsters, make sure you get a Joes ice cream if you go that way.

Two museums in Swansea (Swansea Museum and the Waterfront) are both well thought of. Plus a leisure centre (pool with slides, lazy river etc) Or a little bit further afield you have the National Showcaves.

Or go for a walk on the beach because , as my Mum says "it's only water" (oh how we laughed) Grin and wet sand makes better sandcastles!

how old are they? Archery & Birds of Prey near Penrice, various indoor soft play including a little one in Mumbles. Old style bowling at the Pier. Roller skating sessions at Bishopston Sports Centre, climbing wall at LC, drop in arts and crafts with Mini-Media, Chockerbockery Glory in Joes!! Cant think of anything else right now, but will post again if anything comes to mind.

Ok so everything i've listed would work maybe with exception of soft pay. We live here and dd is 11 so we've tested a lot of stuff out! The Egypt Centre also do great half day/full day workshops. There's also a Chocolate Factory tour. Further afield you could do a day trip to Cardiff shopping and eating (unless you are from a big city in which case skip it, unless they are into rugby and you could do a tour at the millennium stadium). Try and grab a copy of What's On. It's got info of everything on in the area. Cider and Sausage Festival tomo supposed to be good but going to be horizontal rain!

Plantasia is in the town next to toysrus. Subtropical dome with butterflies, small monkeys etc.
