Hope to take 2 year old to Brittany for week at end of September- any advice/where is good to stay?

It will be quiet at the end of September and much cheaper than in the height of the summer. I like the coastal area around Quimper and Vannes. Staying around Carnac is pleasant. The beach resorts will not have the same level of entertainment and street life as in the summer, but there is still plenty to do. The roads will be quieter too.
