Hi all, we're planning our first big family holiday with our DD And have found flights on air miles to KL in November. We've booked for 19th-2nd dec - DD will be 5 months old. We now need to decide where to go a short flight from KL. thinking Thailand or Cambodia but worried about malaria? Any suggestions of baby friendly luxury resorts?

Cambodia is malarial. Much of Thailand is not.

the whole region has dengue (cities can be much worse) so you need 24/7 mosquito precautions, and all the jabs everyone can possibly have.

Thailand - Phuket has lots of family friendly resorts

Stay in Malaysia & head Borneo way.
Sarawak, Sabah (Kuching etc.)

Kota Kinabalu was lovely :)

I am lead to believe that the executive floor at the Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa Is a must!

Heard great things about:
Vietnam's Hoi An
Phuquoc (Danang) - Island off Vietnam
&
A Malaysian top resort, Pangkor Laut Resort, KL (2 hours taxi)

Borneo also malarial. Babies can take antimalarials, although it may be fun getting it to do so.

Siem Reap and Phnom Penh are not malarial, we only had to take anti malarials for jungle treks in Cambodia.
