Which is better, Criccieth or Harlech Castle?

We're in North Wales this week and want to visit a castle, these are the two nearest but which is best to visit? Can't really tell from their websites! The DC are 6 and 8 if that makes a difference.

Harlech definitely, it is more intact with walls to walk round and climb and lots more to explore. Criccieth is just a ruin really.
If you want to visit the ultimate castle though I would recommend Caernarfon, it's about an hour away from Harlech but with so much to explore, lots of nooks and crannies and towers to climb, my 7 year old loves it and we have to visit there at least once a year.

Oh brilliant, thank you. Caernarfon looks great so might do that tomorrow :) there's so much to do around here, but we're only here for a week so have to pick and choose!

Agree that Harlech has more of interest than Criccieth, also Conway castle is well worth a visit.
