We want to go on holiday to Spain next year. Ideally somewhere with nice beaches, good food and a bit off the usual tourist route.

Do little harbour towns still exist?

We don't know Spain at all so which areas would people recommend please?

Lekeitio and Getaria sprang to mind when you said little harbour towns with good food and few tourists.

Yes they still exist! All over Galicia, the Basque Coast, and all along the coast north of Valencia right up to France.

Isla Canela/Ayamonte in Andalucia
We own a property there and go several times a year. Long unspoilt beaches, lots of lovely food, very few Brits, nice Town ( but a proper one not a Disney one is that makes sense)

Thanks for the tips!

Hopping, which airport would you recommend for the Ayemonte area please? Would it be Seville?

We fly to Faro in Portugal. It's about 40 minutes drive
Seville is a bit further and there aren't as many flights there

Avoid Benalmadena - awful place!
