Day trip from Tel Aviv

I have a 3 day work trip to tel aviv in September. I've never been to Israel before. I can choose from 1 of 2 excursions - either a tour of the old city of Jerusalem or a trip to the Dead Sea. Which should I go for?

Jerusalem - it's fantastic!

I'd do the Old City, but I'm surprised they can't do both, as Jerusalem is on the way to the Dead Sea, and youwouldn;t want more than a couple of hours at the latter.

I would do Jerusalem, and if time permits I would most certainly go to the Yad Vashem museum too, it's easy to get to from the Old City ..... enjoy
