Madeira pushchair experience

Hi all, does anyone have any experience travelling to madeira with a young toddler (my DS is 18months)?

I have a large UPPAbaby and a small umbrella pushchair so not sure which to take. Im really worried about the UPPAbaby getting damaged in transit and wondering if it's a bit overkill to take for a holiday. Any advise gratefully received Grin

No experience myself but have been to Madeira and the old town on Funchal is mainly cobbled streets if that makes a difference to your decision.

Years ago we went to Funchal and took a cheap Graco Citilite pushchair. It coped fine with the cobbles although you could make the wheels stop swivelling which helped. I think it was more the steep hills which made it tricky, but it was completely doable. I loved it and have always meant to go back there....
