Barcelona and Madrid

Do you have any recommendations for lunches and dinners in both Barcelona and Madrid?

The kids are 9+ so can go anywhere really and can eat late (post siesta etc) - no need for highchairs and bibs anymore!

Going in August (hot!) so some places might be closed.

I have been to both - but can't remember where/when we ate tbh. I have been without the DC mostly. Tended to do drinks and tapas during the day all day ;)

I would have a look on TripAdvisor forums for each destination - and post your query, or do a search for good places.
